ISLAMABAD:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started vacating a hostel for female students of Rawalpindi Medical College (RMC) after an overnight directive by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani to end years old illegal possession.

Talking to The Express Tribune, a senior NAB official on the condition of anonymity said they have started shifting to a building located in sector G-8, near Ministry of Social Welfare and Noorie Hospital.

It was an empty building which has been given to NAB to establish its office there, he said.

He denied that the shifting was done on the directives given by the PM on Monday, but was done after getting approval for the building.

“Earlier no building was available but as soon as they found one, they decided to shift,” said official.

Dr Muhammad Haroon, chairman YDA Rawalpindi said a few young doctors on Tuesday went to check whether the building was vacated by NAB officials or not, but they found no major signs of movement.
