At a press conference on Saturday, Chandio said that PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address the event. "The political heir of [PPP founder] Zulfikar Ali Bhutto will come to Hyderabad and talk about national and development issues," he said. "The public meeting will prove that Bilawal is going to be the next prime minister."

He criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan who also spoke at his party's public meeting in Hyderabad on September 19. "Imran Khan should stop dreaming about conquering Sindh. He can't even win a single city in the province," Chandio challenged.
He said if Imran wanted to be regarded as a national leader than he should speak like one. He berated Imran for being a leader who wished to become the prime minister but did not know how to do anything other than humiliate others.

Local Government Minister Jam Khan Shoro, PPP Hyderabad division leader Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi and other leaders also spoke.
Separately, talking to the media in Tando Muhammad Khan district on Saturday former federal minister and MNA Syed Naveed Qamar asked the ruling party in the federation to avoid clashes with institutions. He said martial law is not in favour of Pakistan, underscoring that the country cannot move forward without democracy.
The PPP's public meeting will mark the 10th anniversary of the October 18, 2007 terrorist attack at the welcome rally of former prime minister and PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto.
