Kulsoom Nawaz discharged from London hospital

Maryam Nawaz says her mother feels better and further treatment, including chemotherapy, will start next week

Maryam Nawaz said her mother Kulsoom Nawaz has been discharged from hospital and her further treatment, including chemotherapy, would start next week.

The former First Lady underwent third operation for lymphoma on September 21 in a London hospital, for which she was diagnosed last month.

“Shukar Alhamdulillah, Ami [Kulsoom Nawaz] is better, discharged from the hospital and back home. Her further treatment including chemotherapy starts next week.” Maryam said in a tweet.

The wife of ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif won the NA-120 by-poll last week. The seat had fallen vacant after Nawaz’s disqualification by the top court in a judgment in the Panama Papers case on July 28.
