On September 11 , Carlos Muñoz Portal - a location scout working on the sets of Narcos was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in a remote area near San Bartolo Actopan, a region notorious for its high murder rates.
The 37-year-old, whose previous works include Sicario and Bond film Spectre, was reportedly on the hunt for season four filming locations on the outskirts of Mexico City.
“We can't do it if it's not safe. We're talking about lives,” Pedro, the lead actor of the series, stated in a recent interview in lieu of the tragic incident.
“If they want to do it, they'll figure it out in a safe way,” elaborated the former Game of Thrones star when he was probed to give further details.

Reports suggest that plans for shifting the production from Mexico to Columbia are under works where the series, which formerly starred Brazilian actor Wagner Moura as Pablo Escobar, was first filmed.
Muñoz was working on the upcoming fourth season which is said to explore the rise of Mexico's infamous Juarez cartel. Season three, which was released on Netflix earlier this month, shows the rise and fall of Colombia's Cali cartel and the shift of the drugs wars to Mexico.
