Two more die of dengue virus in Peshawar, toll rises to 30
As many as 1,682 people are screened out of which around 270 are found to have been infected

The death toll from the ongoing dengue virus outbreak in the provincial capital claimed its 30th victim after two more patients succumbed to the viral infection on Thursday. According to the Dengue Response Unit (DRU), as many as 1,682 people were screened out of which around 270 were found to have been infected. However, only 117 people were admitted to different health facilities over the past 24 hours. In the meantime, 134 people were discharged after recovering from the viral infection, said the DRU report issued on Thursday. The report noted that 30 people have so far died from the viral infection since July.
