Seminar urges inclusion of calligraphy in curriculum
This was expressed during a seminar on the “Implementation of National Action Plan to Counter Terrorism in Punjab” by Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) held at Avari Hotel on Tuesday.
In response to the question, Standing Committee on Interior Chairperson Masood Alam said that the syllabus being taught at educational institutes was not promoting militancy and if anyone of the participants could highlight the issues, he must point it out. Standing Committee on Interior Secretary Rana Afzal said that many lessons related to teachings of our religion had been removed in the name of militancy from our syllabus.
For students, mathematics as a way of thinking
Rana said that it was unfortunate that most of the time of legislators was consumed when addressing petty issues and did not address important matters like monitoring of the executive and NAP.
