Mayo’s building construction starts     

The covered area of the building would be 40 thousand square feet

LAHORE: Ground breaking ceremony of North Medical Ward, Mayo Hospital was held on Sunday.

Tajamal Foundation took the responsibility to build a state-of-the-art five-story building of historical North Medical Ward of Mayo Hospital at a cost of Rs130 million. The covered area of the building would be 40 thousand square feet. Begum Mian Tajamal Hussain (late) unveiled the plaque of foundation stone of the building.

Four doctors contract chickenpox at Mayo Hospital

Mian Nusrat Hussain, younger brother of late Mian Tajamal Hussain and other family members, coordinator of the project Prof Muhammad Awais, Medical Superintendent Dr Tahir Khalil and the technical consultants were present on the occasion.  Prof Muhammad Awais informed that family of late Mian Tajamal Hussain was spending Rs130 million on this project. He said that thousands of patients would get benefit from this act of charity.
