KARACHI:

The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) on Saturday announced to reduce loadshedding in the city to three hours.

The decision was made after an agreement between Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and KESC on the supply of furnace oil. The agreement is expected to give electricity generation a boost and help rid Karachi of prolonged hours of loadshedding.

The highest duration of loadshedding will be four hours down from the previous duration of nine. Industrial areas have been completely spared the hassle of power cuts.
