USAID Project: Munter’s wife meets health workers

ISLAMABAD: Marilyn Wyatt, wife of US Ambassador Cameron Munter, met with lady health workers at a health house in Jhelum. She is currently highlighting how the US nationals were working with Pakistanis to save lives and improve health conditions amongst the poor communities. The lady health workers were receiving training through the Family Advancement for Life and Health (FALAH) project, introduced by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This four-year, $48 million program is functioning in 15 districts of the country, and is working to spread awareness about birth spacing. Speaking at a press conference, Dr Wyatt said, “Evidence shows that when a woman plans her births, she has healthier children.  The US government is proud to be improving the lives of women by supporting the lady health workers through USAID’s FALAH project all over Pakistan.”
