Overseas Pakistanis Division: Raja appointed as new chief

BS-19 officer of Secretariat Group promoted to Joint Secretary (BS-20) with immediate effect.

ISLAMABAD: Shafiqur Rehman Raja, a BS-19 officer of Secretariat Group serving as a Deputy Secretary at the Petroleum and Natural Resources Division, was promoted to Joint Secretary (BS-20) with immediate effect.

Raja has been transferred and posted as Overseas Pakistanis Division Chief (BS-20) on deputation, on standard terms and conditions until further orders.

Elsewhere, Rana Sarfraz Tariq took charge as National Language Authority (NLA) Secretary after having previously served in the Cabinet Division.

The authority arranged a farewell in honour of former NLA Secretary Mohammad Ikraam Bilal, during which NLA Chairman Iftikhar Arif appreciated the services rendered by Bilal during his tenure.
