Naran-Kaghan: PTDC to launch cleanliness campaign

Campaign will also educate and inform tourists the about environmental and ecological harms

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) is set to launch a cleanliness awareness campaign for tourists in Naran-Kaghan,” PTDC MD Abdul Ghafoor told APP on Monday. The aim of the campaign is to keep the valley pollution free he said. “We will initiate the campaign to clean tourist spots in Naran-Kaghan which attract a large number of tourists every year,” he said. As part of the campaign, the volunteers will collect wrappers, shopping bags, beverage bottles, disposable crockery and other items which may have been littered around the valley and are harming its ‘beauty’. Campaign volunteers will also educate and inform tourists the about environmental and ecological harms of littering in apparently unpopulated natural bodies including mountains and lakes.
