Two found dead in Faisalabad

Bodies were shifted to hospitals for legal formalities

FAISALABAD: Two men were found dead in different parts of the city on Monday. Police said a passer-by spotted a body near Mohallah Ashraf Abad in the limits of Sammundri police station and informed the local police.

The police reached the spot and shifted the body to the hospital for legal formalities. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained. Meanwhile, an unidentified man was found dead in the limits of Batala Colony police station.

The body was recovered from a road in Waris Pur. The police shifted it to Allied Hospital. The police said that the man was a drug addict. However, investigation was underway to ascertain the cause of death.

Meanwhile, environment Protection Department, in connection with its anti-dengue drive, inspected 81 sites and issued notices to five people for failing to comply with the dengue standard operating procedure.

Deputy Director Shaukat Hayat said that the teams checked 38 tyre shops, 26 junkyards, 10 nurseries and seven other places in different areas of the city. He urged the people to adopt precautionary measures and remove stagnant water from their homes and rooftops.
