Meghan Markle meets the Royal Family, is all set to take role of 'princess'

Markle has also been toning down her professional commitments in lieu of royal restrictions

The Royal family appears to be experiencing quite a happening month, while many are preoccupied with last week's news of a third baby for the Cambridges, another announcement is being silently prepared behind the gates of Kensington Palace - an inevitable public engagement between Prince Harry and actor Meghan Markle is being speculated for the coming weeks, reports Daily Mail.

The Suits star has met her prospective in-laws, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and is reported to have been readily approved as a new addition to the their family. The first official public appearance of Markle and Prince Harry will unfold at the Invictus Games in Toronto later this month, Daily Mail informs.

While the couple is making things official publicly, preps are underway at the Royal abode too so as to make room at Apartment 9 for Harry and Meghan.

It has also been reported that Royal solicitors Harbottle & Lewis, who serve Prince Charles, William and Harry, have been asked to represent Meghan, too.

With official announcements underway, Markle has also been toning down her professional commitments in lieu of what some dub as 'Operation Princess'. The actor is required to abide by a few royal restrictions in relation to her career, as she embarks on a new journey as a royal personality.

While Prince Harry and Meghan have 'stalled' an official engagement, fearing it would overshadow Princess Diana's death anniversary, reports of their romantic holiday in Bostwana last week are as good as a public announcement of an engagement, some say.

Speculations suggest that the public appearance of the two at Invictis Games will proclaim the two betrothed. Given that the Games is his own commonwealth endeavour which entails sports competitions between injured soldiers, looks like Prince Harry was waiting to make the moment really special and a memorable one.

Reportedly, the actor will accompany her royal beau to London after the Games end as a full time working royal. She regularly frequents the Prince bachelor quarters, Daily Mail claims, and is on cordial terms with their neighbours, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Miss Markle's meeting with Charles and Camilla will of course be particularly significant in declaring affairs officially. "Harry's father is just keen for him to settle down and be happy," says a source.

"Both Charles and Camilla are understood to have held back from expressing views, keen that Harry should have his own space to make his own decision," the source informs.

One palace insider said: "Harry was nervous of introducing Meghan to them because he did not want people to jump to conclusions about someone he deeply cared for. He wanted to consider in his own time whether or not she might have a permanent place in his life."

Meghan seems to be gelling well with other members of the family though as she is already friends with Harry's cousin Eugenie and is on good term's with the Prince's 'second father' Mark Dyer, someone who has mentored the Prince since childhood and he is really close to him.

While 'Operation Princess' is underway, some courtiers believe that Meghan has already violated Royal etiquette with her recent Vanity Fair interview. Her appearance on the magazine's cover to promote the 100th episode of Suits had been approved by Prince Harry and the Kensington Palace, but is said to have raised a few eye browse in the Buckingham Palace.

Miss Markle told Vanity Fair: "We're a couple. We're in love. I'm sure there will be a time when we have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time."

"This is for us. It's part of what makes it so special, that it's just ours. But we're happy. Personally, I love a great love story."

The intimate nature of the comments, together with the fact the interview was to advertise a TV show, is thought to have caused concern to senior Royals. But Miss Markle believed she had a professional responsibility to her television bosses and is set to give one further interview to a US publication. Looks like there is a long way before Miss Markle is a true royal.
