Shehbaz lauds performance of OPC

OPC was selflessly engaged to help resolve the problems of expats, said CM

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the expatriate Pakistanis were great ambassadors of their motherland and Punjab government has set up Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) to timely solve their problems.

He expressed these views during a meeting with expatriate Pakistanis in London on Friday.

“This commission has taken effective steps to resolve the problems and complaints of Pakistanis living across the globe. This commission is fully empowered and has given the expatriate Pakistanis their rights which they were deprived of since long,” he said.

The chief minister said that OPC was selflessly engaged to help resolve the problems of expats as they were playing an important role in strengthening of national economy.

“We are need to help steer the country out of crisis so that it could move on the path of progress,” he said.
