Education the only means of dealing with challenges such as poverty, unemployment and illiteracy, said CM

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said education was key to success and no human being can attain socio-economic progress without education.

Moving forward: CM announces two varsities 

He expressed these views in his message on International Literacy Day on Thursday. “Education is not only equivalent to worship but is a national obligation as well,” he said. “No nation in the world can attain development and prosperity without the support of education and it is the foremost right of every child which deserves tremendous attention.”

Shehbaz said education was the fundamental right of everyone. “It is important to work on emergency basis for bringing improvements in the quality of education,” he added.

The CM said the role of an educated person helps in molding the overall character of society. He said education was the only means of dealing with challenges such as poverty, unemployment and illiteracy.
