FAISALABAD: A woman allegedly killed her husband over a domestic dispute in Saddar police area on Thursday.

A police official said that Abdul Jabbar, a resident of Yasir Town, had an argument with his wife Rubina Bibi over a domestic dispute, which infuriated her. In a bid to avenge her insult, she allegedly killed her husband with the help of her brothers Faryad and Abdur Razzaq. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

Earlier, a woman along with her boyfriend killed her husband at Satellite Town in Burewala. Police arrested Fakhira Parveen and her friend Nadeem Tahir, who confessed to killing Aqeel. Police said Aqeel was asleep in his house when Fakhira and Tahir strangled him to death and fled the scene.

A young woman committed suicide by jumping before a speeding train in the area of Mansoorabad police station. Police said the victim was identified as Zubaida Bibi, a resident of Sheikhanwala Phattak. Meanwhile, a youth and a labourer were electrocuted in different incidents.

Police said 22-year-old Furqan was trying to switch on a water pump in his house in Dhuddiwala when he received a fatal electric shock. Similarly, 60-year-old labourer, Ibrahim, was working in a house in Gulistan Colony when he accidentally touched a live wire and suffered an electric shock.
