LAHORE:

The Lahore Arts Council (Alhamra) will host the 14th edition of the Lahore Literary Festival (LLF) from February 6 to 8, bringing together leading writers, scholars, artists and intellectuals from Pakistan and abroad for three days of dialogue and cultural exchange.

Recognised as a major platform for literature and civilisational discourse, this year's festival will focus on Pakistan's collective cultural identity, Punjab's traditions, regional languages and national consciousness.

Sessions will cover literature, history, politics, society, global and regional affairs, democratic values and freedom of expression, alongside critical intellectual debates.

The festival will also showcase creative arts, including poetry, fiction, theatre, visual arts, painting, calligraphy, music and folk traditions, highlighting the link between artistic expression and everyday life.

Notable participants include Robin Lane Fox, Kamila Shamsie, Mohsin Hamid, Geoff Dyer, Salima Ikram, Audrey Truschke, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Amin Gulgee and others.

Alhamra Chairman Razi Ahmed said the LLF promotes cultural identity and heritage, while Executive Director Muhammad Nawaz Gondal termed it a vital platform for youth and the public to engage in meaningful literary dialogue.
