FATA’s mineral resources to be exploited: Jhagra
He was talking to a delegation of All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association
PESHAWAR:
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Wednesday said that the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) had large quantities of mineral deposits and efforts were underway to exploit them.
He made these remarks while talking to a delegation of All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (APCEA), led by its chairman Farhan Khan, at the Governor House in Peshawar.
”With the completion of various mineral projects, a new era of development will usher in Pakistan,” Jhagra hoped.
The APCEA chairman, while briefing the governor on the mineral sector in the region, said that the trading community was not only promoting local products in the international market but were also bringing foreign exchange into the country through the export of minerals.
