Rs8b approved for road sector

LAHORE: Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved five schemes of the road sector at an estimated cost of Rs8,660.384 million.

FY 2017-18: RDA, WASA to present budgets today

These schemes were approved in the 14th meeting of PDWP of the current Fiscal Year 2017-18. The moot was presided over by Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. The approved development schemes included improvement of the 54.10 kilometres Pattoki-Kanganpur Road in Kasur district at a cost of Rs 1131.2 million, the dualisation of Kasur-Depalpur Carriageway section at a cost of Rs 5961.8 million, construction and improvement of road from Chowk 177 Murad to Chunan Wala via Chak No 204/M, 203/M, 205/M, 206/M, 207/M and 209/M. Several other areas will also a marked improvement.
