KARACHI:
The recently imposed ban on inter-district transport of wheat and the subsequent mill owners’ strike have led to an increase in the price of flour by Rs2 per kg.
In the Karachi market, 2.5 number flour is being sold for Rs32 per kg against the old price of Rs30 per kg, while small mill owners have increased rates to Rs36 per kg from Rs34 per kg due to the strike. Flour mills are starting a three-day strike against the ban on Friday.
