Out of these five, two buses have been customised to facilitate the travel of physically handicapped children, said CADD Parliamentary Secretary Maiza Hameed.
CADD urged to set up implementation committees
She said that accessible buses with supportive ramps will help handicapped children in, boarding the bus, while special space has also been set for wheel chairs, she added, noting that the buses were provided under the Prime Minister’s Education Reforms Programme.
She said that CADD is also focusing on the training and education of special children under the reforms programme.
Under the first phase of the programme, she said that they have upgraded 22 public schools and colleges in the capital. Another 200 schools will be upgraded under phase-II.
