The X-rays revealed a crack had occurred when Harmison was struck on the forearm during Durham’s match against Hampshire.
Durham coach Geoff Cook confirmed that the fast-bowler will be out of action for two to three weeks. “Stephen, at the non-strikers end, was hit by a drive from Phil Mustard,” said Cook.
“He’s going to be two or three weeks before he can play again.”
Harmison bowled just two deliveries during Hampshire’s first innings and did not bowl for the rest of the match.
