It is believed that actors, in the race to making it big, often skip studies and head straight to film industry. At times, they resume studying when they feel it is absolutely important. But that’s a rare case. And of course, some of them are actually quite well-qualified before they become famous. As compiled from News18, here are some of our favourite Bollywood stars who are as smart in real life as they appear on-screen.

Amitabh Bachchan

The shehenshah of Bollywood is an intellectual in every sense. Being the son of legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Amitabh could never leave words behind. In addition to a double major in Science and Arts from Kirori Mal College of Delhi University, he also earned an honourary doctorate from Queensland University in Australia.

Shah Rukh Khan

King Khan was an all-rounder in his school days and went on to pursue his higher education with the same passion. Shah Rukh has a degree in Economics from Hansraj College and had been doing his Masters in Mass Communication around the time when his acting career kicked off. Therefore, he ended up skipping studies in the final year.

Parineeti Chopra

With a triple honours in Business, Finance and Economics from Manchester Business School in United Kingdom, Parineeti wanted to become an investment banker.  She also worked with the Yash Raj banner in its marketing and public relations division and actually ended up in films by virtue of that. Talk about destiny!

Varun Dhawan

Apart from leaving an indelible impact on girls with his entertaining performances, Varun has also been quite a performer when it came to studies. He holds a degree in Business Management from Nottingham Trent University and had assisted director Karan Johar on his film My Name Is Khan before making his own debut in 2012’s Student of the Year.
