Nawaz Sharif leaves for London to meet ailing wife
Former PM will celebrate Eid with ailing wife and family in London
Deposed Prime Minister Muhammad Mian Nawaz Sharif departed for London on Wednesday to meet his ailing wife, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
Nawaz left from Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport where Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Senator Dr Asif Karmani were also present to see him off, Radio Pakistan reported.

According to reports, the ousted premier will celebrate Eidul Azha with his family in London. He is expected to stay there for 10 days. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will also conduct a rally in west London during his visit.
Kulsoom is suffering from lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.

“My mother has been diagnosed with lymphoma, cancer of lymph nodes, left side of neck in her case. Her treatment begins immediately,” her daughter Maryam Nawaz tweeted last week.
It was earlier reported that Kulsoom, who is running in the race for the NA-120 by-election, had throat cancer. However, sources told Express News that doctors in the UK have diagnosed her with blood cancer in its initial stage and her chemotherapy will start next week.
