Seven held for 'providing cheating material in exam'

Accused were busy providing cheating material through laptops, bluetooth devices, pen cameras and different sim cards

BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalpur police claimed to have arrested seven members of a gang involved in providing cheating material to the candidates in Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) examination through electronic devices.

While addressing a press conference, Bahawalpur DPO said that Civil Lines Police Station SHO Ghulam Rasool Bhatti and his team raided a private hotel and arrested accused who were sending cheating material to the candidates during PPSC exam. They were identified as Sub Inspector Saifullah Malhi, Sub Inspector Ahmad Naqaash, Deputy Tehsildar Muhammad Masoom, Aamir Mehmood, Sameer Tariq, Saad Ahmad and Fahad Mehmood.

He maintained that at the time of the raid, the accused were busy providing cheating material through laptops, bluetooth devices, pen cameras and different sim cards.
