TORGHAR: The joint candidate of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) and Awami National Party Dilroz Khan on Friday won the District Nazim Torghar election while Jamiat e-Ulema----F candidate Mian Said Mahmood remained on second.

According to results, Khan secured 16 votes whereas JUI-F candidate Mahmood got 4 votes as one of the JUI-F district council member cast his vote in favour of Khan.

Interestingly, PTI member of the district Fazal Khan favored JUI-F candidate while another member of ANP did not cast his vote.

After success in Nazim election, newly elected Torghar District Nazim Dilroz Khan while speaking to the media said they would eliminate the politics of favouritism and vengeance from the district.

A no confidence motion against the former Torghar District Nazim Noor Muhammad was passed on August 21 which succeeded and ECP de-notified him giving a date for the new election.
