In his early morning Twitter ritual, US President Donald Trump on Thursday retweeted a meme of himself eclipsing former president Barack Obama.
The meme captioned “The best eclipse ever”, shows a ginning Trump moving in front of Obama – edited in black and white.

Trump remained a harsh critic of Obama through out the latter's tenure. He floated theories against the former president including that of him being a Muslim and the "birth certificate" issue where he alleged Obama was not born in the US.
Last week, the US president came under scrutiny for blaming "both sides" after the violence in Charlottesville. Trump’s weak condemnation of the racist far-right set off a political firestorm across the US political spectrum. World leaders also criticised Trump’s response.
