Father pardons son's killer minutes before execution

A Saudi citizen, from the Khamis Mushait province of Saudi Arabia shocked everyone when he pardoned the killer of his son on the day of the latter’s execution.

A viral video on social media showed the father arriving at the execution site with a group of people and pardoning the convict.

People present there hailed his decision and carried him on their shoulders.



“The killer has spent two years in the jails of Aseer before being sentenced to death by beheading,” said local media reports.

Earlier in March 2017, a Pakistani man, whose son was killed in Abu Dhabi in 2015 pardoned the murderers – all Indians – who were facing the death sentence.

The murderers, who came to work in Abu Dhabi from Indian Punjab, were convicted in October last year for killing a Pakistani youth, Muhammad Farhan, following an altercation.
