Bollywood star Sunny Leone brought Kochi, Kerala to a standstill on Thursday as she arrived in the Indian city to inaugurate a mobile store.

According to India Today, the news of her visit sent fans into a frenzy as they began gathering at the venue as early as 8am, leading to major traffic snarls during peak hours.

“My car in literally a sea of love in Kochi Kerala!!,” she tweeted.

Crowd found place on top of buses, hoardings and even on metro pillars to catch a glimpse of the former pornstar, reported the Times of India.

Overwhelmed by the "sea of love", the actor even shared a video on her Twitter handle: “No words…Can’t thank the people of Kochi. Was so overwhelmed by the love & support. Never will forget Gods own Country Kerala! Thank you #fone4.”

Since they faced problems controlling the large crowd, Kochi police booked the store owner and 100 others under IPC Sections 283 (obstruction in public way) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

The First Post, quoting police, said fines would also be imposed on those found guilty of parking unauthorised vehicles. Crowds, the paper reported, caused much damage to property, two-wheelers were damaged and the barricades put up by the Kochi Metro as a part of the beautification process were uprooted.

Sunny will be seen in special songs in two upcoming Indian films Baadshaho and Bhoomi.
