KARACHI:

The newly-formed Commercial Services Department of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Consulate in Karachi will serve as a common platform with the support of the consulate to protect the interests of UAE companies in Pakistan.

According to a press statement issued by the consulate on Tuesday, the new department aims to address the concerns of UAE-owned businesses through a common platform, promote and market UAE businesses and help UAE investments to grow in Pakistan.

Additionally, it will provide support for other UAE businesses to engage themselves in the local economy and would also act as an infrastructure for organising lectures, seminars, exhibitions and symposiums for the benefit of UAE companies and the UAE in general.

UAE Consul General in Karachi Suhail bin Matar Al-Ketbi recently said that this  would act as a conduit to relay and ease the problems UAE-owned businesses are facing in the country by directly communicating their concerns to the Government of Pakistan.”
