Varun Dhawan to get engaged to long-time girlfriend?
Now, more than two decades later, David Dhawan - the original’s director - is bringing the comedy caper back with son Varun Dhawan playing the lead role, reports Hindustan Times.
On the 65th birthday of the film-maker, the upcoming flick's poster was released. It comprises the two Varuns, both hopping out of a taxi painted with colours of the Union Jack, their expressions demonstrating a baffled look.
Unlike Salman's character 'Raja', who was an edgy street brat, the characters that Varun would be essaying appear more docile and up-to-date. While one of the twin appears to be a nerd, the other exhibits a somewhat pop-star-like demeanour.
Anushka Sharma is almost unrecognisable in the first poster of 'Pari'
Although the poster reminds fans of the magic of the original Salman Khan comedy, we are equally excited to see Varun in this revamped version.

The two female leads would be essayed by Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez. It is rumoured that Salman and Karisma - the original stars of the flick - will be doing cameos in this installment.
