PEC approves four programmes for UET  

The programmes include environmental, computer, mining, and geological engineering

LAHORE: After detailed deliberations over documents and an in-depth scrutiny of the presentation given by the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, the Pakistan Engineering Counsel (PEC) has accredited four engineering programmes.

The programmes included environmental, computer, mining, and geological engineering. The accreditation is given in the light of Section II of Clause 2.2 of the PEC Accreditation Manual 2014 under level II. PEC expressed satisfaction with the faculty and staff requirements, finding they were in line with the criteria for the said accreditation.  Therefore, it found no objection in assigning the above mentioned programme as accredited.

Students studying in these programmes expressed their gratitude towards UET Vice Chancellor Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid and the university administration. The VC appreciated the efforts of the departments concerned for making efforts to achieve this milestone.
