LAHORE: Foreign forces see former prime minister Nawaz Sharif as an instrument of bringing prosperity in the country that’s why they don’t want him in power, said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mushahidullah Khan.

Nawaz says people of Pakistan have rejected his disqualification

Speaking to the media in PHA Colony, GT Road on Sunday, Khan said that foreign forces do not like Pakistan because it is an Islamic country with nuclear weapons. “They are also after the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Unlike the West, the regional powers in the East are progressing silently and the West feels threatened,” he said.

Khan claimed that America and Israel hatch conspiracies against democracy in Pakistan through think tanks, NGOs and now through the media. He further claimed that the West recognises Nawaz as a potential threat to them because of his abilities to bring peace, prosperity and economic stability in Pakistan.

Nawaz’s disqualification: It’s good, reacts a happy Musharraf

“Nawaz wanted all institutions of the state to be strengthened, including judiciary, army, democracy and even the media,” Khan said. “Parliament needed to be supreme. The entire system of this country emanates from the parliament.”

Replying to a question about Nawaz’s ‘homecoming’ rally, Khan said that he had never seen such a big rally in his life, and claimed that it was “several miles long”.
