Over 3,500 foreign nationals married to Pakistanis in a bind

He said she has not been able to produce a 'nikah nama' or the names of witnesses of the nikah in her press conferences. In a statement issued on Monday, Basharat claims he is living a happy life with his wife and son. He added Seemal Kamran, former MPA of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q), was blackmailing him; however, two applications were under process against her for falsehood, blackmailing, fraud and cheating at the police station concerned. Also, two civil cases were pending in court for which two legal notices had been served on her.

Muhammad Basharat Raja said that if her claim was true, then she should put forward a valid nikah nama in front of the media in the next 24 hours so that the truth could be established. Otherwise, he urged a criminal case be lodged against her.
