Shop worker faints due to fear of robbers
According to the police officials, the deceased persons used to work at the restaurant and also lived in the shop. Initially, it was reported that all the three died after eating poisonous food. However, Kalakot police SHO Ghulam Yasin, while quoting the initial investigations, said they did not die due to consuming poisonous food, but instead died of suffocation.
"They were sleeping the entire night in a closed shop while the generator was running," the officer claimed. "They died of suffocation due to the smoke of the generator while they were asleep."
The victims hailed from Sahiwal, Punjab and their bodies were sent to their hometown for burial. The officer said that no case has been registered, as initial investigation suggests that their deaths were an accident. However, a case would be registered if criminal negligence was found, he added.
