‘Oil exploration accelerates in K-P’
Will help generate employment opportunities for the youth
PESHAWAR:
Oil and gas exploration and production activities will not only bring rapid socio-economic progress and prosperity for the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), but they will also help generate employment opportunities for the youth, said K-P Minister for Transport and Railway Shah Muhammad Khan Wazir. During his visit to the base camp of Lakki exploration block, he said K-P was blessed with rich deposits of hydrocarbon and minerals, adding the government had created a friendly environment by offering investors incentives to accelerate oil and gas exploration and production activities. The minister said in the four years after the creation of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Oil & Gas Company Limited (KPOGCL), exploration activities in the province had increased manifold. He assured the firms engaged in exploration of all-out cooperation.
