
In this regard, a ceremony was held at the Police Training College (PTC) in Hangu (PTC) where the fresh recruits have been receiving probationer training. A candle light vigil was also held at Yadgar-i-Shuhada last night. Flowers wreaths were also placed by all the senior officers and notables of the area, on Yadgar-i-Shuhada at the PTC.
After the ceremony, a speech competition on the sacrifices rendered by officials of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police was held in the college parade ground in which students of public and private schools in Hangu and Kohat participated.

The speakers lauded the role of K-P police in bringing peace and tranquillity to the region. The winners of the competition were presented with Rs30,000 cash reward by the District Nazim. Hangu PTC Commandant Dr Fasihuddin gave away certificates.
The newly recruited ASIs shared stories about their lives after the martyrdom of their father or brothers in the line of duty.
