ISLAMABAD: With the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan not journeying to the Supreme Court to hear the verdict in the Panama Papers disqualifying Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the party has decided to hold a rally in the capital on Sunday to mark the landmark occasion.

In this regard, an application was filed by PTI’s Islamabad President Khurram Nawaz with the deputy commissioner of Islamabad seeking permission to hold the public gathering at the parade ground on Sunday, July 30.

The move came as scores of PTI supporters had gathered outside the apex court.

But with tight security not allowing them to get close, they streamed towards the residence of party chief Imran Khan in Bani Gala. There, protesters started celebrations by dancing and feeding each other sweets.
