Tornado Victims: Awan hands out cheques

Awan distributes cheques among victims of the recent tornado in Sialkot.

SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan distributed cheques among victims of the recent tornado in Sialkot on Saturday.

A ceremony was held at village Buhadarpura-Bajwat near Head Marala the three weeks of the tornado disaster.

Awan distributed Rs500,000 each among the six deceased and Rs100,000 each for the injured.

Addressing the victims, she said that the federal government would not leave them alone in their time of need and their homes would be rebuilt soon.
