PESHAWAR: Students and nurses at the Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) in Peshawar have demanded the hospital administration immediately transfer the head nurse of the hospital for the official’s ‘cruel behaviour’. The nurses staged protests at the hospital on Tuesday and shouted slogans against the head nurse.  Speaking to the media, the nurses said that they were fed-up with the daily cruel behaviour of the head nurse.  “We have been banned from using the gas at the facility and are forced to order meals from the market at night,” they complained. They said that if they could not use gas at the hostel, how could they prepare meals. Moreover, they claimed that the head nurse had allegedly banned meals from outside, barred use of mobile phones during duty. With most of the nurses in the hospital hailing from Chitral, the nurses alleged that the head nurse often referred to them as non-Muslim. They demanded hospital immediately transfer the head nurse otherwise they will continue their protest.
