SMIU to introduce online examination, admissions process
The SMIU received the status of university in 2012. "The SMIU will become one of the best universities of the world in the near future," Dr Shaikh said, adding that the university has planned several schemes to improve its academic standard, quality of teaching and academic environment at the campus.
About 1,500 students have submitted online forms for admission against 200 available seats at the varsity's five departments, Dr Shaikh said. "One can judge from this that SMIU is getting more importance day by day due to its quality of education," he added.
On this occasion Gulzar Ahmed Mughal, registrar of SMIU, highlighted the services Dr Shaikh rendered for SMIU and said that under his leadership SMIU has emerged as the most important university of Pakistan.
