Special number plates to cost Rs0.3m

PESHAWAR: If you want to get special number plates in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, get ready to pay as much as Rs300,000. The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday notified new rates for special vehicle registration numbers. According to the notification issued by the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control department, rates for registration numbers starting from one to nine will be Rs300,000, while for registration numbers 11,22,33,44,55,66,77,88 and 99, Rs200,000 will be charged. For those wanting special three-digit numbers for their vehicles, they will have to pay Rs50,000. There are scores of people who are willing to pay huge amount of cash to get registrations numbers for their cars that standout from the ordinary.
