iPhone 7 costs more to make than any other iPhone
The latest comes from Singaporean manufacturer Oaxis which has designed a smart case for the larger iPhone variant that features a full display of its own. InkCase i7 Plus is a smart case for the iPhone 6, 6s and 7 Plus featuring a 5.2" E Ink screen allows users to display photos, to-do lists, read eBooks, news articles and also assists them in taking selfies.
The smart cases comes equipped with an inbuilt battery, storage space, Bluetooth connectivity and is designed to be drop-proof and waterproof. However, what’s more interesting is that the revolutionary product also maintains a slim design adding only 4.5mm to the back of the smartphone.
“InkCase i7 Plus delivers beautiful crystal sharp text for a crisp reading experience,” said Oaxis on its Kickstarter campaign. ”Using the Carta 1.2 E Ink screen, it is the best in its class for delivering high contrast photos and paper-like reading experience.”
iPhone 8 may feature 'mirror-like' body
In addition to this, the case manufacturers have also added fonts and language packs for all languages that include Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian among many others.
The InkCase i7 can be bought for S$129 and is available in four different colours. Currently being funded on Kickstarter, the smart case has raised S$144,010 in pledges, well over its target of S$28,000. Oaxis is expected to start shipping the product to early bidders by August 2017 with general shipping starting by September 2017.
