Snapchat has brought a host of new updates to its app with the ability to record multiple 10-second snaps continuously and a new “Tint Brush” allowing you to selectively colour specific objects or areas of your snaps.

The multi-snap recording feature is coming to iOS first, with a rollout soon to be expected for Android but the Tint Brush feature is launching for both the major OS simultaneously.

Multi-Snap recording finally

It's safe to say this update was a much-needed change to snap recording especially for people who record live events like concerts.

Snapchat now allows you to see where your friends are hanging out

Now you can avoid the inconvenience of recording 10-second snaps and then start a new recording if you want to continue snapping the event. This not only wasted time but more often than not users missed recording the part they wanted to.

So, now you no longer have to guess the timing of what you want to capture. With this new update, you can record 10-second snaps for up to 60 seconds which can be individually edited with filters or deleted individually.

Tint Brush

The Tint Brush feature is similar to a colour replacement app. The feature basically enables you to highlight parts of your snap, by selecting a new colour, highlighting an area by tracing with your finger. It alters the image colour to the colour you’ve chosen while preserving image details underneath.

Snapchat's latest update lets you add links, voice filters and backdrops

Snap continues to make new updates given the recent furor of competition Instagram has been giving it. If these new innovative changes continue, it's safe to say Snap’s userbase shall remain intact.

What remains to be seen, however, is how soon Instagram copies these features.
