Arms recovered: Two suspects held during search operation

They checked 150 houses, searched 250 persons and nabbed two suspects who are being investigated further

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police along with Rangers on Sunday conducted search operation in Bhara Khau and nabbed two suspects, a police spokesman said.

Following National Action Plan, officials of Islamabad Police, Rangers and other security agencies conducted search operation in Bhara Kahu and its adjacent areas.

They checked 150 houses, searched 250 persons and nabbed two suspects who are being investigated further. A Kalashnikov (AK-47) and a 30-bore pistol along with ammunition were recovered from suspects.

SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city and he further directed all SHOs to continue it. He has also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant.
