LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has accused his opponents of spreading anarchy in the country and resorting to politics ‘deceits and allegations’.

“Some politicians have no interest in national development and prosperity as they are bent upon spreading anarchy in the country,” Shehbaz said, without naming anybody, while talking to elected representatives on Friday.

“When Pakistan is progressing speedily and a new history of transparency is being written in development projects, then any attempt to derail the development process through chaos is tantamount to enmity with the country,” he added.

The CM accused the opponents of conspiring through the politics of deceit and allegations. “These opponents of development and prosperity are indulged in levelling baseless allegations, which are contrary to facts,” he claimed.

He said these politicians were trying to impede the people’s journey towards prosperity through name-calling and adoption of non-democratic means.

“But sensible people of Pakistan have rejected these elements at every occasion and these elements will face disappointment in the future as well,” he added.

The CM said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was fully committed to wriggle the country out of crises and the PML-N was implementing his mission by providing better services to people.

“All resources are being utilised to make the country developed and prosperous,” he said.
