First of its kind fitness club inaugurated in Bhakkar

The club is equipped with latest machines, TV sets and facilities with a cost of Rs4.2 million

BHAKKAR: The Ladies Health and Fitness Club Bhakkar has been made functional in Piala Chowk complex as a special initiative of the district administration. Being the first of its nature in Punjab, this state-of-the-art health and fitness club for ladies was inaugurated by the Commissioner Sargodha Division Nadeem Mehboob in a ceremony organised during his visit on Friday.

The ceremony was attended by local MPA Aamir Inayat Khan Shahani, Deputy Commissioner Syed Bilal Haider, ADC Revenue Hafiz Ahmed Tariq, Assistant Commissioner Ali Akhtar Saifullah, Dsitrict Sports Officer and several women.

Commissioner Sargodha Division Nadeem Mehboob, while addressing the inaugural function, said that the district administration has taken a unique step by providing the facility of health and fitness to women of the area.

He appreciated the initiative of Deputy Commissioner Syed Bilal Haider who put forward the idea of the ladies fitness club. He also lauded the cooperation of MPA Aamir Inayat Khan Shahani for the establishment of this club.

The commissioner underlined the need for taking such steps for the welfare and rights of women. He assured full support by the divisional administration in this regard.

Deputy Commissioner Syed Bilal Haider, on this occasion, said the ladies health and fitness club was equipped with latest machines, TV sets and other facilities worth Rs4.2 million. It is also a fully air-conditioned environment.

He added 122 women had taken membership of the club, thus far.

He said that facility of doctors would also be provided in the club. An E-Library as well as a public library for women would soon be established in the adjacent hall to make the complex entirely for women, he added.

The ceremony was also addressed by MPA Aamir Inayat Khan Shahani who appreciated the district administration’s initiative for the establishment of ladies health and fitness club.
