Cholistan to get 30 mobile, 47 community schools

Foundation’s assistance aimed at providing quality education to students in Cholistan, says MD PEF

LAHORE: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) is expanding its operation in Cholistan by opening 30 mobile schools and 47 community schools.

49% of nation's girls not attending schools

This was announced by PEF Managing Director Tariq Mahmud on Thursday. He was presiding over a departmental coordination meeting at his office.

The MD said the PEF is already supporting 10 functional mobile schools in Cholistan under the same initiative. He added that the foundation’s assistance was aimed at providing quality education to students in this remote area.

For the expansion phase, applicants are invited from Liaqat Pur and Khan Pur tehsils and Mandi Yazman.

“The foundation is committed to spreading the light of knowledge to every nook and cranny of the province. It is satisfying to see that PEF is playing a leading role in the promotion of education in southern Punjab districts.
