LAHORE: A minority MPA of the opposition benches submitted a resolution against the prime minister and a food minister in Punjab Assembly for their failure in resolving the problems faced by the people of their constituencies.

The resolution was submitted by Shunila Ruth in which she stated that a small bridge in Dhobi Ghaat area, Bilal Gunj, was yet to be constructed that was demolished to carry out cleanliness work. She said the residents were using a wooden ladder to cross the drain and could lead to a fatal incident. She added the residents had complained several times but the rulers were in no mood to entertain them.

In addition, she maintained the construction of a hospital in Sabzazar area was pending since four years. Sunila Ruth said it was tantamount to depriving the residents of their basic right to health and they had strong reservations regarding the matter.

She urged the prime minister to take notice of the matter and address grievances of the citizens.
