The National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) in its fortnightly report of June 15 to June 30 2017, highlighted that a total of 26,426 road users were provided help on the roads while 3,78,874 commuters were briefed about road safety. On the directives of NH & MP Inspector General Shaukat Hayat, who received complaints of overcharging by transporters during Eidul Fitr stern action was taken and a total amount of over Rs12 million was recovered and returned to passengers.
